Lock Down Rules in UK

A lockdown can be best explained as a restriction policy for people or communities to stay where they are, mainly due to the specific risks to themselves or others if they move and interact freely. The terms ‘stay at home’ or ‘shelter in place’ are often used for lockdowns that affect an area rather than specific locations. According to dissertation writing services, the idea behind the lockdown, resulting from the pandemic, was to keep the general population safe as this virus spreads with contact.

The more people interact with each other, the more they can transmit the virus. Like other governments, the UK government also imposed lockdown as the number of cases began to increase. The main idea behind lockdown was to avoid the spread of infection as the elderly and people with pre-existing conditions were most vulnerable. Lack of vaccine also made it necessary to take all measures that could prevent further outbreaks.  The UK citizens were stressed to follow the lockdown rules accordingly, as a surge in coronavirus cases could be deadly, and it was becoming tough for the hospitals and healthcare workers to cope with limited workforce and resources.

Schools have been closed; mostly the people are also working from home while some offices are either calling only the necessary staff or they call their staff on alternate days to avoid gathering too many people at one place. The lockdown is expected to last till the mid of February, but nothing is final yet. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said, in a statement that it is too early to know whether they will be in a position to lift the restrictions by spring.
