This article is a guide as it offers some key binding techniques that you will not get anywhere and provide you a chance to present the best-bound paper to the teacher.

The first and the most important thing to do in this regard is to set up the book’s page template in design by creating a new document. You will be deciding the page size, columns and margins as per your dissertation requirement but make sure to leave some extra margin on the side to accommodate the stitching. Make sure that you check out the design as it appears so that you can make any changes as and when needed.

When the design is ready to be printed, it is important to export the document as a PDF file and make sure it is ready to be printed.  You must tick all the right boxes so that when you have the paper in hand, there is nothing missing and you do not end up printing them all over again. Make sure that papers are printed in the right order as it will affect the binding time as well as efforts if you are not able to put them in the right way. Make sure to divide them into sections while printing so that there is no problem if you lose one page or get any printing trouble.

When your paper is ready for binding, draw a line from the top to the bottom of the page, 5mm in from the spine where the pages will be stitched together. Make sure to mark a dot 10mm from the top and one 10mm from the bottom, then put some evenly spaced dots in between these along with that 5 mm line. This will help you bind the paper in an even manner giving a nice and finished look to your document.

Binding a dissertation is an important part of the presentation and you must work the right way to present a good looking document for better results.
